AGM 2018 - Accommodation AGM 2018

Latest news about S&S AGM 2018 - Bragdoya (Kristiansand), Norway
from the Arrangement Committee

As of February 15 we have 33 participants who have signed up for the AGM at Bragoya, and we look forward to many more registrations during the coming weeks.

After we have received all registrations (deadline 15.March), we will send you an email requesting information about your travel plans (time of arrival on Friday, and means of transportation), so that we can coordinate a smooth trip out to Bragoya for all participants.

Do remember to bring suitable outdoor clothing and good walking shoes, as the weekend includes a boat excursion through the nearby fjords, and we will be living on a wooded island without paved roads.  For the evening events we suggest "dressy casual" attire, as the facilities are not compatible with traditional formal dress or high-heeled footwear.

The AGM fee includes dinner Friday, all meals Saturday, and Sunday breakfast and lunch, as well as the fjord excursion.

Local accommodation fees to be paid after arrival on the island (there is a bank terminal for payment by card).  We will allocate overnight spaces in advance for all who have registered, with the kind help of our Bragdoya hosts Kari and Klaus.

For those arriving by sail:

Once the AGM has concluded, we (Jon-Martin and Aud) will be sailing from Bragdoya to Brevik (i.e. northeast toward Oslo). We plan to use a week's time for the trip, and invite all interested boats to sail together with us.

We will be choosing appropriate anchorages/harbours along the way, so when you send your email response regarding arrival plans for Kristiansand, it would be helpful that all who are interested in joining us on the sail to Brevik let us know (including the draft/height requirements for your boat).

Look forward to seeing many of you this spring!
